This ceramic sculpture is a homage to the bronze statue “The Dying Cuchulainn” by Oliver Sheppard (1911) which is on display in the General Post Office in O’Connell Street, Dublin. My interpretation of this myth shows an open head of the hero with the symbolic crow on top: Morrigan, goddesss of death. The plinth of steel with spirals is inspired by the Celtic Triskel and calligraphy.
Head: 44cm tall. With stand: 168cm
Price: €1,500
