Artist of the Week – John McNulty

John McNulty was born in Dublin in 1949.  He studied at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin for three years.  John worked in Switzerland at the Centre Genevois de la Gravure  (1979) and at the Atelier of master printer Raymond Mayer in Lausanne.  Following that European sojourn, he joined The Graphic Studio in Dublin and continued to produce work which was published by London Contemporary Art until the mid 1990s.  He was Secretary of the Graphic Studio Dublin for one year.  Tractor with Dog

In the U.S., John worked in AGB Graphics in Madison, Wisconsin for eighteen months while also continuing to work at the Graphic Studio when in Dublin.

In 1986, John moved to Hollymount, Co. Mayo and established a studio with the assistance of the IDA.  He captures the vanishing family farm in a great number of his works.
